Svffer – Lies We Live

lieswelive

Bandcamp | Facebook | Pre-Ordenar (Vendetta o Per Koro)

Altamente recomendado.

Have been listening to this record a few times today and i totally get into this band, haven’t heard before them and the more i know about the band i ask myself why i never give them a listen… better late than ever. So, as some of you know they recently did a split with Republic of Dreams and they have been releasing records since 2010, to date some says this are their best recordings so far, i’m still curious to listen their past recordings, anyway, have been listening this record for almost four times.

The side A starts with a sampler and then a metal riff that turns into an insane grindcore slot intoxicated of d-beat and metal, least but not least are the vocals, she doesn’t follow any path, her vocals are clean sometimes, most time transmitting her angry feelings. That’s not all about this record, on side B they also throw to the mix some sludgy down-tempo riffages , along other sounds like hardcore or screamo; it’s interesting how each song has their own touch and makes this album different from others. ¨We aren’t afraid to experiment with new sounds and ideas, but not so much that we lose sight of what we are predominantly: punks playing really fast.”.

Cloud Rat is not the only three piece band, but these guys make a complete sound with one guitar, without bass, only drums played really heavy. The lp is already out and you can order your copy in America here: http://www.halooffliesrecords.com/  Europe:http://reactwithprotest.org/

Genre:Crust / Dark Hardcore / Metal
Tracks:
Label:Frequency Deleted Records
Narratives comes from the southeastern region of the United States, they joined the FDR family with this record, a 7¨ containing five songs. From the beginning you perceive the obscure sound created by these guys, dark hardcore played crusty and metallic, the poison to play angry and technical nowadays, from blast beats to the stop/start feedback, in resume a great job done by the band. If you are fan of Cursed, Children of God or SSoS, you need to get this asap, highly recommended. [Band request]

Votnut – S/T Ep

Origin:United States
Year:2012
Genre:  Dark Hardcore / Metal / Grindcore
Tracks: 6
Label: Antihetic Records
Votnut is made by members from  YAITW, so a full biography its not needed. Their music is chaotic and dark enough to bang your head till your neck is broke, i think the proper name for this would be “metallic dark hardcore with insane blast beats” or who knows, i care about the music not the fucking tags. If you like bands like Black Breath or All Pigs Must Die, with the first listen you become a fan. Highly recommended.

Torch Runner – Committed To The Ground

Origin:United States
Year:2012
Genre: Grindcore / Hardcore / Metal / Punk
Tracks: 12
Label: Comunitas Records | To Live A Lie Records
Have been waiting for this a couple of months, can only say this album its a fucking beast. 12 new songs in about 23 minutes, chaotic/filthy music you can’t miss. It’s a short introduction but you don’t need more than just start listening. Highly recommended.

Seven Sisters of Sleep – Self Titled EP

Origin: United States
Year: 2012
Genre: Doom / Hardcore / Metal
Tracks: 6
Label: A389 Records
Probably you don’t care for this kind of info, but for those who have send a message or published a comment in the requests section, all the band requests will be up from friday to sunday, sorry if you did your request weeks ago and it haven’t been posted, time goes and days are shorter.
This is the new ep by Seven Sisters of Sleep, for those who are unfamiliar with the band, they come from Southern California and they’re signed with A389, their fist material was released back in 2010, it was also a self titled Lp, after that a split with Children of God was released, they don’t play in a specific order, you can’t make an exact tag to this band, if you like metallic dark hardcore influenced grindcore/doom/sludge/hate you must listen. Highly recommended.

Depravation – I:Praedictvm

Origin: Germany
Year: 2012
Genre: Black metal / Hardcore / Metal
Tracks: 3
Label: Dark Omen Records
More music from germany, not the type of hardcore you imagine, this bands sounds more darker and more into black metal. Depravation comes from Gießen and this is the recordings, released as tape by Dark Omen Records. Three songs are dropped, the first one sounds great, blackened hardcore  with a perfect double bass, the second one contains 2 mints of spoken words, it turns scary if you’re high, but it sounds great. This is just their demo, so lets put attention to this band. Highly recommended.

The band itself tagged this with Grindcore but I’m not OK with it. It’s not that grinding at all, more about awesome mathy/sludgy/progressive riffs! Too bad this record is that short! They also just posted a new song at their Bandcamp!

Genre: Progressive Metal
Label: self-released
Buy: Nope.

I know this blog isn’t really about Metal (at least this kind of Metal) but I’m really into these guys and also in this kind of Metal so I wanted to support the guys and share.
AURAS play that stuff called “Djent” (man, I hate that description!) and they are tight as fuck. This is just a single, so there’s one instrumental and the other with vocals. I really like the instrumental one better, the right vocals would make it better but I do not like that singer featured on the track that much… If you’re into Periphery, Veil Of Maya and all that other shit these days I’m pretty sure you’ll like this.

Palace – Demo

Origin: United States
Year: 2011
Genre: Hardcore|Metal|Punk
Tracks: 4
Label: Unsigned
Buy: Here
Formed in the summer of 2010, Palace started in a basement in the middle of Hackettstown, NJ. Featuring a line-up which included original vocalist Kerdiz Bush (of No Silence), original bassist Danny Bocchino (of Bloodwolves), original/current lead guitarist Dustin Matos, original/current rhythm guitarist Anthony Hunt (of Bloodwolves), and original/current drummer Tony Curcuruto. The line-up soon shifted to include current vocalist Zachary Post (of Bloodwolves), and current bassist Keith Whelan who have added a unique dynamic to the already experimental band. With a burning desire to create the dirtiest, fastest, hardest-hitting sound possible, Palace spent the last year creating a unique mixture of hardcore, crust punk and thrash (with a modern twist), and has recently recorded their first demo with Pete August and Matt Miller in their studio in Montclair, NJ. Give them a listen, it’s worth it. Recommended.[Band Request]

What can i say about Fuck The Facts? ha, they don’t need a description or something. Loving this new album. For those Canadian readers, Fuck The Facts are playing today with Napalm Death, Mortor and Deformatory in Mavericks [Ottawa, ON] and FTF will have copies of ” Die Miserable”. Highly Recommended.

Once again Denovali Records is offering a great split between this two bands. In one side is Aussitot Mort who brings 2 new songs, this two tracks sounds as good as their past record “Montuenga”…best tracks in the split i think. So, in the other side is Heaven In Her Arms just with one song, it sounds different from what i heard the first time from this guys, it sounds more Hardcore/Metal but still sound good. Recommended.

When i saw this 7″ out in Southern Lord Records i thought it was the band from UK, but when i read they were from Vancouver i search for this band and found a gem of band. Like i mentioned before this is Baptists from Vancouver, Canada. This 4 dewds are like the Cursed vol.2, they sound a bit more angry and more metallic, i don’t make the comparition to say this band rip off the sound of Cursed, i mean more like they are going to be recognized pretty soon!. However, i’m pretty psyched with this 7″ and i hope soon they release something else, i’m really looking forwad. For fans of Cursed, Converge, Torch Runner or Trap Them. Highly Recommended.

“Year Of The Flood formed in Nottingham in early 2010 from the remnants of 2 well-known Nottingham bands. Hot on the heels of the sold-out debut EP ‘A Utopian View’ is the follow up EP ‘Redefine The Natural Order. Drawing influences from crust hardcore, doom and down-tempo sludge metal they use their music to paint a bleak picture of a world on the brink of it’s ultimate self-consumption. Heavily inspired by the dystopian literature of author Margaret Atwood, with the overriding themes of violence, greed, consumerism and social selfishness that threaten to overwhelm modern society.”[Label Request]

Yesterday i got a message from this band and what i first heard was a downtuned riff who sounded like sludge but then i was surprised how the song[s] turns into a fresh sound. These guys are from Hickory,NC and they recently finished their recordings of this awesome ep. How they sound? Man, they take influences from some of my favorite bands like Converge, Torch Runner, Low Sky, Giant[Braveyoung], Blacklistes…I can easily say this is a mix of all that bands, but i want to make it clear, imagine the early days of Converge, they were like a lil bit more metalcore, but these dudes don’t fall much into metalcore, they always sound aggressive/heavy and loud, each riff sounds like a wall of sound who crash your head. If you like bands like Converge, Black Mass, Torch Runner you have to check this now man, seriously. Highly Recommended.

More from the inbox and now from a country i haven’t post anything.”HOME was founded in Winter 2009/10 by Hans-Peter Ganner (Bass, Vocals), Amadeus Mader(Guitar) and (Mathias Magerle – Drums). Altough they’ve know each other for many years, and all of them played in several bands, this was their first effort to create music together. The famouse Postrockcommunity-blog says about their music „…A mix of Sludge, Psychedelic und Hardcore awaits you. Everyone, who is looking for power in music, won’t be dissapointed.“Fair enough. These kind words have been written about the first release of HOME, a self-titeld 3-Track-EP

with the unholy playtime of exactly 13 minutes and 13 seconds. They’ve recorded it all by themselves in January 2010 and released only 100 units, all of them sold out. But hey, that doesn’t matter at all, because HOME prefer that their music should be listened by many

people and not be bought by just a few”. I’ve been listenting twice this record and i’ve been getting into it, i really like how this sounds…heavy and sludgy all the time with a raspy voice. Enjoy this and support the band!

Sumerian Records always brought those polyrhythmic bands like Periphery, Veil Of Maya and shit, but STRAY FROM THE PATH are more Hardcore, sounding like a great mixture of bands like The Dillinger Escape Plan, Architects and Plebeian Grandstand. I don’t really like the term “Metalcore”, there are too many subgenres in Metal and Hardcore, so fuck it, but I think I’d call this stuff awesome Metalcore, more Core than Metal, with a lot of sick and chaotic riffing. I really like this band. These guys play some very unique and technical Metal/Hardcore while putting some Ambient/Post-Rock elements in it. The first song is starting with an oncoming storm, a quiet beginning with some noise and then directly starting with bad ass screaming, awesome riffing and really great drumming. It doesn’t take a long time til that explosion leads into some more quiet part, with clean vocals, which ends up with another thunderstorm. The next song is like 9 minutes long and has a long quiet part, again ending sounding metallic and fucking evil. Too bad there are just 3 songs, but the last one is again showing that these guys have a lot of potential. More clean vocals this time, but still sounding heavy. I think AVL just played their release show for the full length, not really sure about that. For me it’s hard to compare these guys with other bands. But, maybe, if you’re into The Ocean, Breach and that heavy stuff combining quiet parts, you might like this band!

They play some sort of hardcore/crust but with a metal touch that make it more heavier and darker, putting some metal solos here and there, with a really deep voice, you can really compare them with Integrity but they are not a ripoff of them, they are doing it at their way. There’s nothing released at the moment, so, lets keep an eye with these dudes. Recommended.

MARE. Do I have to say more? One of Hydra Head’s best. Their singer is like the most insane ever! Just listen to the first song and you’ll agree with that. Too bad there are just these 5 songs released. This band had so much potential. If you didn’t know these guys yet: GET THIS EP, LOVE THIS EP, BUY THIS EP!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

I saw this at many blogs during the past month and today i decided to download it, fuck…the first listen is like a kick in the nuts, they have people from Converge,The Hope Conspiracy and Bloodhorse, but the main fact is the music not the members, all the time they keep that metallic riffs and the d-beat going on here and there, each song sounds sick, if you have free time go to their myspace and read their about them. I just hope this band play some live shows and don’t be just a jam band. If you haven’t hear this, you should probably download it now.

New record from these duo from Rhode Island, i never heard of them before but a friend of mine pass me this gem. This it’s not the typical sludge band, they have really impress me with this album. The album starts with a female sing, all the first track have it and it sounds scary at some times. What i like of this band is that the vocalist don’t use microphone, so expect some high pitched screams. The record is really heavy but sometimes sllowly with weird noises or samplers or that girl singing who scares. I can’t impress you with words, you have to get this album and discover what i try to say, i thought other releases were going to be the top of 2010 but now i think The Body has earned this award…Highly Recommended

Fuck, this band is the shit! the band is like almost new, but the sound is like so pulled. This is their Debut Ep and it’s SICK! for those who like metal riffs, blast beats and all the fucking violence you can imagine, is just a masterpiece this ep, the bad thing is that’s only an ep, i wish it was an lp. If you are into bands like Trap Them, Converge and stuff like that you will love this band, i can’t even think in other words, i’m kinda blocked haha sorry. DOWNLOAD THIS SHIT.
