Backstabbers Inc. – M.I.A.

QDRPD is a duo from Le Mans, West-side of France, they play ¨Intrumental rock¨ with electronic elements thrown in the mix. When i read about the electronic elements i thought it was going to be something way different, like some ambient/drone project but this has nothing to do with that, their music also incorporates math-rock, noise and indie elements. If you have been looking for something atypical that no one knows about, you should start listening this two piece band. Highly recommended.

Have been listening to this record a few times today and i totally get into this band, haven’t heard before them and the more i know about the band i ask myself why i never give them a listen… better late than ever. So, as some of you know they recently did a split with Republic of Dreams and they have been releasing records since 2010, to date some says this are their best recordings so far, i’m still curious to listen their past recordings, anyway, have been listening this record for almost four times.

The side A starts with a sampler and then a metal riff that turns into an insane grindcore slot intoxicated of d-beat and metal, least but not least are the vocals, she doesn’t follow any path, her vocals are clean sometimes, most time transmitting her angry feelings. That’s not all about this record, on side B they also throw to the mix some sludgy down-tempo riffages , along other sounds like hardcore or screamo; it’s interesting how each song has their own touch and makes this album different from others. ¨We aren’t afraid to experiment with new sounds and ideas, but not so much that we lose sight of what we are predominantly: punks playing really fast.”.

Cloud Rat is not the only three piece band, but these guys make a complete sound with one guitar, without bass, only drums played really heavy. The lp is already out and you can order your copy in America here:  Europe:

IronHorse – Dragged Down A Dead End Path

Origin: United States
Genre: Crust /Hardcore / Grindcore / Sludge
Label: Unsigned
Denver’s IronHorse released their full length debut back in July, seems like is only released digital and it’s up for free download in bandcamp. ¨Dragged Down A Dead End Path¨ contains 10 songs of pure evil hardcore influenced crust/grindcore with some sludgy riffs and even some powerviolence can be heard, the more you listen this record the more you get into this neck breaker   sound… for fans of Torch Runner, Bone Dance, Dead in The Dirt or even Gaza. Highly recommended.

Converge / Napalm Death split

Origin: United States | England
Genre: Death metal / Grindcore / Hardcore
Tracks: 4
Label: Deathwish Inc.
Legendary bands Converge and Napalm Death have come together for a split release, bridging the worlds of personal and politically driven extreme music.

Recorded as part of their new album sessions, Converge offer up the blazing new song “No Light Escapes”. Already a staple of their live set, this whirlwind of an emotional charged song is a soon to be a discordant hardcore/metal anthem for the band. Also on the release, Converge offer a “We Are The World” styled rendition of the influential Entombed classic “Wolverine Blues”. Joining them in tribute is a number of friends including Tomas Lindberg (Disfear, At The Gates, Lock Up), Aaron Turner (Isis, Old Man Gloom, Split Cranium), Kevin Baker (APMD, The Hope Conspiracy), Brian Izzi (Trap Them), and more. A new Converge album will surface later in 2012 on Epitaph/Deathwish.

On the flip side, metal pioneers Napalm Death offer up two new aural monsters. First, “Will By Mouth” erupts in classic grind fashion. A buzz of brutal guitars and a crushing blast beat lay a foundation for Barney Greenway’s vicious vocal attack. All of it uniquely bleeding together to paint a vivid picture of social unrest. Also on the release, Napalm Death offer the slower and textural new song “No Impediment To Triumph (Bhopal)”. A deeply resonant number that lyrically sheds light on the horrific Bhopal Gas Tragedy of 1984. Without question, “No Impediment…” is truly a powerful and poignant moment for this legendary band.

Votnut – S/T Ep

Origin:United States
Genre:  Dark Hardcore / Metal / Grindcore
Tracks: 6
Label: Antihetic Records
Votnut is made by members from  YAITW, so a full biography its not needed. Their music is chaotic and dark enough to bang your head till your neck is broke, i think the proper name for this would be “metallic dark hardcore with insane blast beats” or who knows, i care about the music not the fucking tags. If you like bands like Black Breath or All Pigs Must Die, with the first listen you become a fan. Highly recommended.

Torch Runner – Committed To The Ground

Origin:United States
Genre: Grindcore / Hardcore / Metal / Punk
Tracks: 12
Label: Comunitas Records | To Live A Lie Records
Have been waiting for this a couple of months, can only say this album its a fucking beast. 12 new songs in about 23 minutes, chaotic/filthy music you can’t miss. It’s a short introduction but you don’t need more than just start listening. Highly recommended.

Esoteric Youth – Demo

Origin: United Kingdom
Year: 2012
Genre: Crust | Dark Hardcore | Grind
Tracks: 5
Label: Unsigned

Esoteric Youth is a new band coming from the UK, don’t know exactly what place and how many members play in the band, don’t find that kind of info… but i honestly don’t give much importance to the information if their music says it all. This demo contains 5 tunes packaged with metallic riffs, meaner hardcore with blast beats, at times it turns more black metal influenced, but that’s not bad at all, actually it makes more interesting their music. Can’t wait for future recordings … highly recommended.

Pick Your Side – Let Me Show You How Democracy Works

Pick Your Side recently released their first full lenght album which contains 16 tracks of aggressive/furious and political hardcore pulled with crust and grindcore, just look at their cover artwork. For those who don’t know nothing about the band, PYS features members from Haymaker, Left For Dead and Fuck The Fucts… do you need more to get into them?. Highly recommended.[Band request]

Sorry to all those bands who has send messages before, but sometimes it’s hard to be in all and post every time i want. This is the first megapost, easier way to post all the requests.

Now from Rochester, NY, they are called Burn Everything, the band is formed by five guys and this is their new ep. I haven’t post much recent releases in the past months, why? well because i don’t have much free time and i’m a lil bit disconnected from all those updates from labels and things like that, however, i found this days ago, they releasing this beauty on Relapse Records in Oct.11. What can i say about Fuck The Facts? ha, they don’t need a description or something. Loving this new album. For those Canadian readers, Fuck The Facts are playing today with Napalm Death, Mortor and Deformatory in Mavericks [Ottawa, ON] and FTF will have copies of ” Die Miserable”. Highly Recommended.

I discovered this band a few weeks ago through bandcamp, the first thin i listened it was “Gaytheisim” and it blows my mind, then i jump to their facebook and saw they have a shit-load of upcoming releases [including a split with Towers, Pyramids, Shit Weather, just to name a few) … but, the good thing is that these guys have uploaded all their recorded songs at bandcamp and you can download everything for free. “Dimebag” is full of samplers, blast beats and all the fucking heavy things you can imagine, just to give you an idea, the record lenght is exactly 5.40 minutes, they have songs of 5 seconds. ha, i can’t describe very well, but definitely you’ve to listen this shit!. Also, “Dimebag” is getting released as 5″ around November Highly Recommended.

Childrens Of God is a band from Southern California, i don’t know more about them, i just know how good and addictive this ep is. 5 trakcs in about 5 minutes, pure chaotic and aggressive hardcore, fits perfect for a decapitation or some of those sick things. It’s like the 4th time i listen the ep and i can’t get enough, if you like bands like Torch Runner, Complete Failure, Cthulhu Youth or Backstabbers Inc, you gonna love this. Highly Recommended.

Arse Moreira/Resurrectionists Split 6"

 Year: 2010
Genre: Grindcore/Screamo
Label: React With Protest
Buy: Here

Resurrectionists are from Germany and what they do is an agressive grindcore/crust with a few sludgy moments with Fe/Male heartrending screams. In the other side is Arse Moreira, 3 guys from Mexico who create the most technical skramz in their country, pretty similar to Louise Cyphre but this songs have more instrumental parts, i thought this band were dead. Recommended.

Complete Failure – Heal No Evil

Year: 2009
Genre: Grindcore, Hardcore
Label: Relapse Records

Complete Failure comes from Pennsylvania, these guys take the darkness of hardcore, the chaos of grindcore and crusty riffs, sometimes reminds me to Trap Them, Converge… this band is pretty chaotic with lots of double pedal. Perfect for those stress days.
