Lantern – DIAVOLERIA

Lantern

Para fans de State of Fear, Doom o Disrupt.

Duck, Little Brother, Duck! – No Spitting On Cats During Plague Time

Jungbluth – Part Ache

Bandcamp | Facebook

Jungbluth is a german hardcore band with members from Alpinist, last year in November was released their first ep, a self titled tape that was pressed two times and sold out both times, a chaotic and melodic hardcore with 90s vibes is what you get from those recordings.(http://jungbluth.bandcamp.com/album/s-t-tape)

On this month  they released their first full length  “Part Ache” which contains 9 tunes with the same intensity of their first record, breakdowns, blast beats and angry shouts makes this album definitely puts the band like the best hardcore band from Germany, at least for me. The lp can be bought in Europe via Vendetta Records, in America via Halo of Flies Records or directly from them on their European Tour:

The Disgrazia Legend – Redundance

The Disgrazia Legend resides in Milano, Italy, they were formed around 1997 as Onetruth, later in 2003 is when they change their name and to date they still do things under the diy ethics.

Last year they released an 11 track album, which was released on cd by their own label. ¨Redundance¨ its an experimental project with sounds  mixture like hardcore, post-hardcore, noise and punk. An album full of noise and melodic tunes driven by energetic drum beats, also you´ll find two interludes on this album. ¨Redundance¨ its the last full length released… on cd, upcoming records will be available on Vinyl and digital. After ten 10 years of existence the band continues playing solid and noisy tunes with influences from bands like Hot Snakes, Young Widows, Breach, Neurosis, Kiss It Goodbye, just to name a few and give you an idea of their not limited taste, they create music without tags or classifying what they do, they just simple do it. So if you´re looking for some post-whatever-noise, go to their bandcamp page, listen and then make them an offer or buy the cd for only €7. Recommended.

Requests from bands vol.4

Nerves – Nerves

These guys comes from Minneapolis, Minnesota and their debut ep was released a few weeks ago. If you are into bands like Converge, Botch or The Dillinger Escape Plan, you really need to listen this band. Highly recommended.

Holy – The Age of Collapse

HOLY fuck, these italians are back with a new lp released through the german label Adagio 830. This is the follow up from their self-titled 12 inch released on Hell, Yes!… the result of  their fourteen new tracks is devastating, they continue in the same line of black hardcore/punk with hints of crust/powerviolence and political lyrics. If you are into Trash Talk, Punch or DNF, you should definetely give a listen to this band, highly recommended.

Revengeance – Complacent  Complacency

Revengeance is a five piece power-violence locomotive. Taking it’s first steps in 2011, and already with three releases under their belts, Revengeance took the punk scene by storm with its unique blend of 80´s hardcore, proto-grindcore and all the cult 90´s power-violence bands, and adding a sprinkle of “fuck off” attitude. In just one year they managed to play all the key Portuguese festivals and support slots for some overseas acts. Expect angry female/male vocals, fast drumming and loud guitars. The band is in its essence a tribute to power-violence. Give it a try or fuck off.

A Thousand Words – Sinners

After some line up changes and a demo in 2009, the band did several shows in Portugal opening for such hardcore acts like: Shai Hulud, Anchor, Soul Control, No Turning Back, Rise and Fall, For the Glory and Devil in Me to name a few, the band also did some weekends in Spain and an European tour in 2010 to promote their demo.  Drinking influences from bands like Unbroken, Damnation A.D. and Rise and Fall the boys recorded their recent EP in 2012 titled “SINNERS”.

Romero – Take The Potion

Romero’s first full length has been released on January, thanks to a kickstar campaign the album will be released as vinyl. The cd version can be ordered from their bigcartel page as well as other merch. These folks keep  playing stoner metal full of fuzzy riffages and psychedelics passages, it’s not a total stoner metal record cause  they bring the darkness and heaviness of doom metal which gives to their sound another direction. If you roll into stoner metal or doom metal, Take The Potion is what you need nowadays, highly recommended.

I´m working on a huge band request post, is the easiest way to finish with all the requests. Have been listening most of the bands requests, some of them will appear soonish, some other not. Thanks for share your music with mvsicasheroin.

Painted Wolves – Unholy

Sweden | 2012 | Epidemic Records

1. Poisoned Words
2. Self-Appointed Prophets
3. In The Circle of Lies
4. In Urine

Painted Wolves released Unholy last year and thanks to a band request i found their music, the band features members from Death Is Not Glamorous, Anchor, Dead Vows, The Smackdown, 8 Days pf Nothing… you probably know about their side projects, the fact is that Painted Wolves is still unknown and obviously this need to be heard by more people. ¨Two words, four punks and too many amps to handle. Göteborg, jeansvests, powerstances and headbangs.Loud drums, distorted guitar, gnarly screams and a wall of bassguitar.  Why make things complicated, right?. It’s not an unfmailiar formula, but does every band have the genuinity?. Are we pretentious assholes? Possibly!¨ that short bio introduce me to this band and fuck it, it’s all you need to read about these guys. I’ll describe this as the child of Failures and Brainworms, highly recommended.

By the way, keep your eyes peeled cause they will be touring europe this summer with Comadre and Dangers. Get their music for free through bandcamp.

Blessings – Bittervatten

Sweden | 2012 |  Serene Records/Dålig Stämning

1. Bittervatten
2. Worms Of The Earth
3. Strings Of Red
4. The Shrine
5. Wormwood Litany
6. Seven Blessings
7. Licking The Hand That Bleeds

Blessings is a swedish power trio based in Gothenburg, formed in 2011 and featuring members of Anchor, Painted Wolves, Scraps Of Tape, Tsukimono and Fä among others. This is their first ep recorded and sounds insane, the tag hardcore/punk for this band  gives the idea of a music pattern, something you clearly note they don’t have. so lets say they play some kind of hardcore influenced by crust/doom/drone/shoegaze, the recordings are full of noise and feedbacks giving a darker sound.

Bittervaten was released on tape through their own label Dålig Stämning and Serene records, such tape is sold out but you can get this for the price you want on their bandcamp. A new 7″ of shorter material is in the works, as well as a longer 30+ min track which will be a separate release sometime in the fall of 2013

Let It Die – Let It Die 7¨

Origin: United Kingdom

Genre: Dark  Metallic Hardcore / Punk

Label: Church of Fuck | Dead Chemists Records | Moshtache Records

This record will blow you away if you are looking for fresh dark hardcore sounding metallic/trash and everything that makes music dirty, angry and filth. Let It Die are the providers of that fresh music i’m talking about, their demo from last year catch the attention from many of us who love this kind of sound, they were compare with bands like Cursed, Nails and  Black Breath, even if their recordings doesn’t sound like the actuals, they reach some listeners around the world, even Southern Lord put an eye on this band and actually they were going to release this 7¨.

This self-titled 7¨ contains six songs that clocks around 12 minutes, building epic tunes that can’t hear just once cause its fucking addictive, definitely for fans of Black Breath, Nails or even All Pigs Must Die. The complete record can be streamed at bandcamp and you can buy a digital copy for  ₤3 or buy a physical record for ₤4 through Dead Chemists or Moshtache. Highly recommended.

Okkultokrati – Snakereigns

Origin: Norway

Genre:  Hardcore / Punk rock

Label: Fysisk Format

Have seen this record around many blogs that i decided to give a try, never heard of them before until now. If you are new to this band you should know they are Norwegians and black metal its not their thing even if you can find some elements on their music. It’s hard trying to describe such catchy and ugly sound… imagine if punk rock had a blackened version, with elements of  hardcore-doom and rock n’roll with catchy beats and gnarled vocals,  definitely an original sound that has to be heard by more people.  This is their second full length and its able on cd/vinyl by Fysisk Format, don’t think it twice to get this masterpiece, highly recommended.

¨Nine tracks of ugly rock ‘n’ roll played on heavy metal equipment and with a punk attitude. Simple and profound.¨Fysisk Format.

Vyst – Bad News Travel Slowly

Origin: Germany
Genre: Crust / Dark Hardcore / Punk
Label: Vendetta Records
Vyst is made by ex/current members of Throwers, Glasses and Perth Express, what else do you need to know about them with seeing where these guys come from. They said their sound is a mix from their previous bands or a more brutal version of Perth Express… who knows, give a listen and discover this by yourself. Highly recommended.

Sport – Colors

Origin:France
Year:2012
Genre:Emo / Indie / Punk
Tracks: 13
Label: Pike Records
So, the blog has been forgotten for a few days, music as heroin is giving me some stress when i check the email, a huge list of band requests is waiting for me, not sure when all of them will be posted, so don´t mind if i take some more days/weeks to post your stuff, anyway, the past year i recommended the demo by Sport, an emo/punk rock band from Lyon, France, you should give a listen if that’s your kind of music. In the last days of july the band released their first full length containing thirteen songs, using olympics dates to name your songs is the weirdest thing i´ve ever seen.
If you read constantly this blog, you know i don´t do reviews, just recommendations, so i don´t give a fuck if you think this entry is lazy as fuck… highly recommended.

Protestant – Reclamation

¨Reclamation¨ is the new ep by Protestant, contains five new tracks, their sound has change on this ep, is less  crusty/d-beat but it have the same agressive sound, it sounds more metallic than their previous works.  If you are familiar with this band, there´s no problem to get involved with this new ep, from the beginning to the end they keep you into their dark/metallic hardcore punk sound, favorites tracks for me are Reclamation, Salad Days and Home. This is up for pre-orders, the band will carry copies on their upcoming tour (starts sep.28), release show sep. 21.with Northless,

Planks & Lentic Waters split

Origin: Germany
Year: 2012
Genre: Dark Hardcore / Punk
Tracks: 6
Label:Apocaplexy Records | IFB Records | React With Protest
This split is for those who can´t feed their addiction with the dark/metallic hardcore punk sound, if you land into this genre you should already known both german bands. Planks has been playing since 2007, they have released interesting records btw splits and albums, they have their own sound. In the other side is Lentic Waters, this band has less time playing but they sound pretty similar to Planks, not a rip off, they do their things in the same line as the mentioned band… German hardcore is characterized by this kind of sound: dark/metallic and intense as fuck. Highly recommended.
By the way, keep your eyes peeled cause Planks is releasing their third album around October.

Sore Eyelids – Sore Eyelids

Origin:Sweden
Year:2012
Genre:Emo / Indie / Punk / Shoegaze
Tracks: 10
Label:Fasaden Records | Serene Records
Sore Eyelids comes from Sweden and its a band made by members from Suis La Lune, if you haven’t heard their  old ep (2009) or don’t know who they are, just download this album. It’s mid year and a lot of releases has seen the light, don’t knew this guys were working in a new album till they uploaded a previous track from their upcoming album, since that i’ve been waiting for it and if it was worth the wait. This band lands btw emo/indie/shoegaze with clean vocals, music with deep emotions, love how they manage each influence to sound unique. Highly recommended.

Torch Runner – Committed To The Ground

Have been waiting for this a couple of months, can only say this album its a fucking beast. 12 new songs in about 23 minutes, chaotic/filthy music you can’t miss. It’s a short introduction but you don’t need more than just start listening. Highly recommended.

Cara Neir/Ramlord Split

Facebook[CN][R]
Origin:United States
Year:2012
Genre:Black Metal / Crust / Punk
Tracks: 4
Label: Broken Limbs Recordings
Coming off of stellar reviews for their first LP, Cara Neir have teamed up with blackstench heroes Ramlord to release a split on Broken Limbs Recordings that exemplifies the fusion of the grimy, filthy underbelly of crust punk with the occult-laden isolationist themes of black metal.[Band request]

Disquieted By – Lords of Tagada

Origin: Italy
Year: 2012
Genre: Hardcore / Punk / Rock
Tracks: 12
Label: To Loose La Track | Sons of Vesta

A tagadà is an amusement ride pretty common to find in fairs. riders sit in a round bowl with no seatbelts or restraints. there are bars behind the riders which they hold onto. The ride starts to spin, the music starts playing and hydraulic arms bounce the riders up and down.

and, just like a tagadà, disquieted by spin, spin and spin, fueled by catchy rock & roll tunes built upon solid punkrock foundations. comparisons with the bronx, the hives or drive like jehu can be easily made, but only after being involved in one of their frenetic, hectic live shows one can be really aware of the true power of this band. disquieted by, from firenze, are the true lords of tagadà, as they keep on spinning but never fall down.[Band request]

 Tracks: 10
Label: Adagio 380 | Pain of Mind | Win Htein Records

Wolfbrigade – Damned

Origin: Sweden

Everyone who is into crust/d-beat knows their roots, Wolfbrigade (Wolfpack) is some of the pioneers and they have been doing it since 95. After albums, splits and eps released in all the past years, they release this 12 new songs through Southern Lord, an european release has been licensed by STR and La Familia Records is taking care of it, you can read more about that here.   So if you are into the so called crust and don’t know who is Wolfbrigade, shame on you. Geraniüm – S/T LP

Origin: France
Year: 2012
Genre: Crust | Hardcore | Punk
 Tracks: 8
Label: A lot of record labels involved

Genariüm comes from Strasbourg, France, this is their self titled lp released by a ton of record labels (Contraszt, I feel good, Deviance, Crustatombe, Lubic, Up the punx, Acid folik,  Dingleberry, Emergence,Tanker, Orchid scent, AK47, Cadavre exquis, Perce oreille, Desertion records), but that’s not something bad, it helps the band much more the get more listeners. I remember listen to Geraniüm’s tour cd and it was more into the crust/punk sound, this new record has the crust sound but it’s more shaped into the dark/metallic hardcore, a bit more melodic than their past stuff. For fans of Alpinist, From Ashes Rise, Downfall of Gaia, recommended.[Band request]

Vacanza – S/T 7"

Origin: Italy
Year: 2012
Genre: Post-hardcore | Punk | Screamo

Label: La Fine | FalloDischi

Vacanza, an italian band who recently released a debut ep 7″ via La Fine & FalloDischi, both labels from the same country. The 7″ contains just 4 tracks, i wish it has more songs on it but sadly the reality is other, their music goes pulls a variety of genres, post-hardcore/punk/screamo and also they drop some post-punk too, maybe that’s why their songs are pretty catchy… looking forward for future recordings. For fans of Fine Before You Came, Distanti,  Gerda and those kind of bands who have lovely italian vocals. Recommended.[Band request]

Baklavaa – Hairmoans

Origin: United States
Year: 2012
Genre: Post-hardcore | Punk | Screamo
Tracks: 5
Label: Unsigned
Baklavaa comes from Baltimore, their music can sounds weird, but is mostly post-hardcore influenced by screamo/math-rock/noise/punk and any other genre that make it more weird, with weird i don’t mean ugly, it’s just something more creative than the rest of post-hardcore bands are doing, a project you should give a listen… go to their bandcamp and download this for free while you can. Genre: Hardcore | Punk

Label: I For US Records | Throatruiner Records

ELIZABETH is one of those bands that have understood that the strongest reputations could be only built on the road. Thus, this last year, their home-recorded demo has been enough to let them travel through the whole Europe and shared nearly forty stages with the upper crust of european hardcore/punk. With“Where Vultures Land”, their debut EP, these swiss carve their way into the heaviest and most intense branch of their scene, alongside of bands such as Converge, Rise And Fall or The Hope Conspiracy. Twenty minutes played with a constant energy, which is demultiplied by the unmerciful rusted vocals of Javier (with an heavy burden in the matter as an ex-Nostromo). More than enough to one of the most promising bands of the european scene, now you’re warned.[Label request]

Words – Words Ep

Origin: Mexico
Year: 2012
Genre: Crust | Punk | Sludge
Tracks: 7
Label: Unsigned
“This is another brilliant Crust Punk/Sludge Metal release that doesn’t outstay it’s welcome. Its actually the right length to show this bands talent for writing superb top-notch Sludge Metal riffs. The riffs are played fast and furious and to precision at times as well. Some songs are only on for 2 mins or so but they still pack a hard hitting Sludge Metal punch. Especially on tracks like “When Civilisation is No Longer Enough” and “Liagonemerte”.” from Sludgelord.[Band request]

“This is the new 7” from Vancouver’s Tempest. This one has two new songs on it, long running and noisy as all hell, they play a heavy and chaotic hardcore that Roger still claims “doesn’t sound German.” If you are into depressed and blackened European hardcore with a nice metal patina, then this is for you my ridiculous friend. Side one and two of the record (songs cleverly title I & II), traverse a loud atmospheric and elemental tonality, with a nice recording done by the band themselves with plenty of low end and blast thrash for good measure” .

I wish this came out in summer, feels like a really good summer record! I just finished listening to the whole EP and I’m going to listen again right now, I do not do that often. Palace – Demo

Origin: United States
Year: 2011
Genre: Hardcore|Metal|Punk
Tracks: 4
Label: Unsigned
Buy: Here
Formed in the summer of 2010, Palace started in a basement in the middle of Hackettstown, NJ. Featuring a line-up which included original vocalist Kerdiz Bush (of No Silence), original bassist Danny Bocchino (of Bloodwolves), original/current lead guitarist Dustin Matos, original/current rhythm guitarist Anthony Hunt (of Bloodwolves), and original/current drummer Tony Curcuruto. The line-up soon shifted to include current vocalist Zachary Post (of Bloodwolves), and current bassist Keith Whelan who have added a unique dynamic to the already experimental band. With a burning desire to create the dirtiest, fastest, hardest-hitting sound possible, Palace spent the last year creating a unique mixture of hardcore, crust punk and thrash (with a modern twist), and has recently recorded their first demo with Pete August and Matt Miller in their studio in Montclair, NJ. Give them a listen, it’s worth it. Recommended.[Band Request]

Yes, new ep from Trash Talk, i thought “Eyes & Nines” was the best shit from them, but once again they surprise me with these 5 new tunes. I actually don’t need to put a description or something, just get this shit.  Highly Recommended.

The highly anticipated album from Protestant, after their last year album “Judgement”, they come back with this 6 tracks of ranging hardcore crust for fans of Alpinist, Planks, Hammers or His Hero Is Gone, seriously some of the best bands around in the genre. The record has not much time out, so if you want to order a copy, don’t hesitate more and click on the links above. Highly Recommended.

Damn, never heard before about this band and they are active since 08′. Tinnitus comes from Worcester, Massachusetts where Dead Air Studios is based, they actually recorded their new record at Dead Air. These 5 guys manage to create faster and killer tunes in the veins of Vaccine, Low Threat Profile, Weekend Nachos or even Infest, i really think this band deserves much more than 77 likes at facebook…really underrated!. If you like the bands mentioned above and fucking blast beats, angry vocals and loud tunes…get into this!. Highly Recommended.

Reproacher – Self Titled

Origin: Cheyenne, WY
Year: 2011
Genre: Chaotic Hardcore|Metal|Punk

Reproacher are 4 guys playing heavy music, not that heavy metal thing or something, heavy and loud hardcore like nowadays people are doing it, it sounds more technical at some times but definitely a band you have to listen. For fans of Cursed, Gaza, Plebeian Grandstand, etc…Highly Recommended

The Shampoo – Radar.Rot

Origin: Germany

Year: 2001

Genre: Emo | Punk

Label: Swing Deluxe

Buy: nope

Web: Myspace (sucks!)

Listening to this record is like travelling in time. Discovered this band in 2003 or 2004 I think and it was like the beginning of my addiction to Emo, Post-whatever and Hardcore – good music 😉

I think THE SHAMPOO started after Kassiopeia split up. This record has everything you need – from those typical awesome Emo to more aggressive or Punk riffs, authentic sing-along vocals with german elaborate lyrics that are also kinda funny and absurd sometimes and here and there, there is this great Post-Rockish atmosphere. There are also a lot of interludes with samples from Trainspotting, Klaus Kinski and whatnot. I’m pretty sure not many people know about this band nowadays, it’s a shame cause this band was really, really good! Too bad this is their only (?) release, they had a lot of potential! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Bubonic Bear is a two piece band from Philadelphia, they are doing some dirty riffs with a variation of sounds, i don’t know how to tag them, but you i’ll say they play “sludgy hardcore played by punks” ha, it sounds dirty and angry all the time, i think they deserve more attention. They have just 2 releases and you can get them directly from bandcamp.[Band Request]
